I purchased a new Samsung Odyssey G8 32-inch monitor on October 4, 2025, directly from Samsung.com and picked it up at Best Buy in Garland, TX. Right from the start, there were issues. When I opened the box at home, the contents were scattered—it was clearly an open-box item that had been haphazardly repackaged. I immediately contacted Samsung, and a representative promised me a $100 refund for the trouble. That refund never arrived. Product arrived broken, immediately contacted customer service but they said they couldn't help because it wasn't marked "delivered" on their end. Life got busy, went to do the return a couple weeks later and I missed my window. Now I'm stuck with a bricked monitor.

Great monitor Just wish it had EARC support and better way to go through the settings aside from the button.

The Samsung G81SF monitor is the perfect monitor. It's OLED 4K panel make it Ideal for gaming, streaming, and work a like. The vibrant colors, dark blacks and bright whites make it an absolute joy to use as a daily driver. The FAST 240hz makes gaming feel smooth and competitive gaming feel like a breeze. The panel is good but the UI and controller of this device is horrible. DO NOT BUY if you are planning to use this screen for more than once device connected. It will randomly switch from one source to another, then when you want it to auto switch by moving your mouse it won't. for a $800+ display that's unacceptable. It takes 15 seconds or more to switch sources bc it forces you through the home menu since this is smart tv and you need to see their ads every time you switch sources. I could go on... there are no workarounds. you can not buy a third party controller that has a source button on it or a quick switch inou...

Picture was great but did not keep. Use for work and could not wait for this monitor to wake up from sleep. Would show a 5 second no input screen, then another 5 second connecting screen and then asked to register product blocking the screen for 5 seconds before you could use computer.
